CTIA: Verizon Wireless and Axeda aim to monetize M2M

Verizon Wireless and Axeda Corporation today announced an alliance geared toward speeding the development of global machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions.

The announcement is significant given Axeda’s penetration in the market, as it now has buy-in from the top-three North American carriers (Verizon, AT&T and Sprint), giving it 91% penetration in a market of 20 million M2M connected devices—a number that is supposed to increase to about 50 billion by 2020, by some predictions. > Read More
